This unit (70 amp) is compatible with the programming box but will not accept an update as it says it needs a software update to the box. I have the latest software running on the box and have no problems updating other Avian esc’s We need a fix Spektrum , hopefully quickly…

70 amp in my 1.2m p51 junk

The esc in my 1.2 meter p51 acted up on first flight motor surges after 1-1.5 minutes flight time. Horizon has no insight as to why it does this going to send a replacement. Hopefully replacement is better then one that came in plane.

No update but says one is needed

This ESC says there is an update needed when you plug into the programmer, but will not let you go any further. Same issue as Ted O. is having.

Q: Can the firmware be updated with a version 1 update box. I’ve not been successful doing so.

A: Sorry but you will need a V2 programmer.

Q: Is there a port on the esc to update firmware?

A: Yes there is. The single yellow wire lead and connector alongside the BEC/throttle lead is used for updating.
